Themes

Sessions can be proposed under the following themes:

Promoting Responsible Internationalisation  

  • What does sustainable and responsible internationalisation look like?  
  • How can internationalisation be promoted within planetary boundaries?  
  • How does ethics guide international collaboration?  
  • How does changing geopolitics impact collaboration?  
  • What is responsible science diplomacy?   

Reimagining Student Exchange for a Globalised Future  

  • What kind of driving force is student mobility?  
  • Challenges and opportunities of physical and blended mobility  
  • How do we prepare for the new Erasmus+ period?  
  • How do we build carbon-neutral mobility?  
  • Mobility for All – reality or utopia?  
  • How can we promote students' international skills?  

Leading the Digital Transformation in Global Engagement  

  • How is artificial intelligence changing our work?  
  • What kinds of digital services are in development or in use?  
  • What will the digital tools of the future look like?  
  • What new problems and challenges does artificial intelligence bring us?  
  • Gen Z & Gen Alpha as drivers of digitalisation: how do we meet the expectations?   

Driving Global Partnerships and Alliances  

  • How should strategic partnerships be led in a changing environment?  
  • Europe and the world – how do we build equal partnerships?  
  • How do alliances shape the future of Europe?  
  • "The good, the bad, and the ugly" – what works in alliances, what doesn’t, and what is yet to be utilised?  
  • How do international educational cooperation projects support strategic internationalisation?   

Attracting Talent, Fostering Inclusion, and Wellbeing in Internationalisation  

  • How can Finnish higher education institutions attract top talent in the future?  
  • Image vs. reality – how do we respond to international students' and staff's expectations? 
  • Integrating international students into future job markets – what can we do differently?  
  • Language-aware environment and multilingual work culture – solutions to the future talent shortage?  
  • How can we better support students with immigrant backgrounds in higher education?  

 

Submissions

Please submit your session proposal by January 17th, 2025, via this link: https://www.lyyti.fi/reg/Kvkevatpaivat_2025_7010/en Session proposals should include at least a chair and 2 speakers. For poster proposals, one speaker is sufficient. We hope that the proposals will gather speakers from different organisations. Session proposals can be submitted in Finnish, Swedish, or English.
