The 2025 Social Policy Conference will take place in Helsinki on 23-24 October 2025. The theme of this year is trust. Trust is the foundation of our social system. Trust affects relationships between people and groups, and the functioning of institutions and the political system. What is the role of trust in an age of uncertainty? During the conference, we will examine trust from the perspective of public opinion, and the legitimacy of the welfare state and institutions, and explore how social policy research approaches the topic.
The conference is organised by the Social and public policy science from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Helsinki. Contact by e-mail: sospolpaivat25@helsinki.fi. Please note that we will not be answering emails in July.
