International airlift

Helsinki Airport is the leading Northern European transit airport. Approximately 50 airlines serve Helsinki, and there are direct connections to nearly 130 international destinations around the world. 

Helsinki Airport is located 19 km from the centre of the city. The transport time to the city centre is 25 minutes with a direct train connection (departs every 10 minutes). There is a regular airport bus running every 20 minutes between the airport and the city centre, and several local buses are also available. Read more about the .

There are also ferry services from Estonia, Sweden, Germany and Poland.

Conference venue

PME49 is organised in the main building of the University of Helsinki (Fabianinkatu 33, 00170 Helsinki, see map).

The venue is easily accessible by train, metro, bus and tram as well as located in a walkable distance from most parts of Helsinki city center. The Main railway station and the Helsinki University metro stop are a short walk away.
