Practical information

The Joint Nordic EPOS & 53rd Nordic Seismology Seminar (NSS) will be held in a hybrid format on 25-27 October, allowing both attendees and presenters the option to attend the meeting in person or remotely.

Venue

Joint Nordic EPOS & 53rd NSS will be a hybrid event with the on-site venue at the Kumpula Campus of the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland.

The registration desk and meeting room are at the first floor of Physicum building (Gustaf Hällströmin katu 2, 00560 Helsinki), room D101. 

 

Online platform

The remote participation will be made possible via Zoom. The meeting link will be shared to registered online participants. 

 

Accommodation

We have pre-booked rooms in two hotels within two kilometers of the meeting venue, Holiday Inn Helsinki - Expo (Messuaukio 1) and Finlandia Park Hotel Helsinki (Pohjolankatu 38). Both offers are valid between 24 and 27 October.

Standard rooms including breakfast in Holiday Inn Helsinki Expo can be booked through Holiday Inn's booking site or by calling +358 9 150900 or emailing expo@holidayinnhelsinki.fi and using the booking code Helsingin yliopisto. The price for single rooms is 104 € per night and for double rooms 114 € per night. Book by 10 October. Booking may be possible event after that if the hotel has rooms available.

Single rooms including breakfast, gym, internet and morning sauna and swimming at the Finlandia Park Hotel Helsinki are priced at 107 € per night. Finlandia Park Hotel also offers free-of-change cancellation until 6 pm on the day of scheduled arrival. you can book by calling +358 9 799755 and mentioning that you want to book a room in the quota of the Institute of Seismology, or through Finlandia hotel's booking site. A quota of rooms is reserved for the Nordic Seismology Seminar until 7 October. Booking may be possible event after that if the hotel has rooms available.
