About the Conference

The 34th International Workshop on Operator Theory and is Applications (IWOTA 2023) takes place at the University of Helsinki from July 31 through August 4, 2023. The program consists of approximately eight plenary talks, 16 semi-plenary talks, and several sessions and contributed talks, which cover various areas of operator theory and its applications.
IWOTA Conferences

IWOTA 2023 is part of the series of annual conferences on operator theory and its applications. Started in 1981 with the first meeting held in Santa Monica by Bill Helton, the IWOTA meetings have become the largest annual operator theory conference. The 34th meeting at the University of Helsinki is the first time the series comes to Scandinavia.

The IWOTA 2023 conference proceedings will be published in the book series Operator Theory: Advances and Applications by Springer/Birkhäuser and edited by Joe Ball, Hans-Olav Tylli, and Jani Virtanen. In addition to original research articles, we welcome broad survey articles on current developments in the field. All submissions will be reviewed and strict standards of refereeing will apply. The deadline for contributions is February 15, 2024, via iwota2023@helsinki.fi.
