Indigenous Heritage 2017 addressed indigenous peoples’ rights to their cultural heritage from the perspective of indigenous peoples themselves as well as international and national legal frameworks. It provided a great opportunity for exchange among researchers, representatives of indigenous peoples, museums, ministries, governmental and non-governmental institutions, practitioners, and students. Thank you for taking part!
At the end of the two-day conference, indigenous peoples' representatives made a series of recommendations to international organisations such as UNESCO, academic institutions and states, among others. You can read them below.
