There is some exciting work being done by PhD students globally in all areas of linguistic typology. As there are currently few opportunities to showcase this work to a specialist audience, the present workshop series gives students a chance to present their work to experienced researchers in their field.
ETT2021 is looking to provide an additional opportunity for presenters to receive feedback from colleagues outside their immediate network and to fasciliate the types of essential feedback that are difficult to receive outside of the context of discussions and exchanges that takes place at international conferences.
ETT2021 is created by a group of PhD candidates from various universities as an online showcase event for current PhD students in typology and descriptive linguistics. The series takes place between 25 October and 22 November 2021 and consists of talks and discussions on a number of days spread over several weeks. The schedule is organised to allow for a range of time zones. Participation is free of charge.
