Professors

Which phenomena in our society merit a closer look? Or in our surroundings? What should we know about cancer, indigenous peoples or space weather? What could be the next breakthrough in science?

Our professors explore the world and life from a wide range of perspectives, solving problems related to both the individual and the environment in their work. Read about our current professors, look for them in our people finder or in the alphabetical list below.

Newly appointed professors are celebrated at the university twice a year. As they take up their new role, each professor holds a public inaugural lecture. These are events open to all introducing to the public key questions relevant to the professors’ fields. Each lecture lasts 20 minutes, and audience members have the opportunity to move from one lecture.
