Forskningsprojektet genomförs genom att använda deltagande fotografering och gruppintervjuer som forskningsmetoder. Studerandena fotograferar teman som de uppfattar hör samman med det nordiska och därefter har de fått berätta om sina fotografier i en gruppintervju. Datainsamlingen gjordes år 2018 och till dags dato har 8 gymnasier och ca 150 studeranden i alla fem nordiska länder deltagit i projektet. Materialet består av ca 700 fotografier och ett trettiotal gruppintervjuer.
Projektet finansieras av det nordiska spetsforskningscentret ”Justice Through Education in the Nordic countries” (http://www.justed.org). Vår forskningsgrupp består av professor Gunilla Holm, professor Elisabet Öhrn (Göteborgs universitet) och Solveig Cornér (Helsingfors universitet).
