The Faculty of Educational Sciences is located in Siltavuorenpenger in Kruununhaka district near the city centre of Helsinki. Siltavuorenpenger is a traditional university area. The newly renovated faculty facilities were previously facilities of Departments of Anatomy, Medical Chemistry, Physiology, High Energy Physics and Physics. In the middle of old atmospheric buildings is Minerva building that was completed in 2005.
Minerva is a modern, future oriented building that is designed for teaching and studying. The building's heart, Minerva plaza, is a learning environment that supports functionality, activating teaching and the usage of different technologies in teaching.
