Events

One cornerstone of the CoE activity is to organize joint seminars, workshops and summer schools. Read more about our upcoming events below.
FiRST Christmas Party 2025

The FiRST Christmas Party, geared mostly towards the CoE's researchers in the capital region, will take place on Wednesday the 10th of December at 16-19 in the main building of the University of Helsinki.

Stochastic Sauna 2025

Stochastic sauna is a yearly Finnish meeting for scientists applying or developing the mathematical theory of probability. In 2025, the meeting will take place at Åbo Akademi in Turku 18-19.12.

Please view the programme and by the 30th of November (participation is free).

Interplay of Conformal Geometry and Integrability Beyond the Arctic Workshop

The aim of this workshop, taking place in 1-7.2.2026, is to bring together a small number of people working on dimers, integrability, and CFT, especially on their geometric aspects. More information about the workshop can be found .

Geometric and Probabilistic Aspects in Conformal Field Theory Programme

The Geometric and Probabilistic Aspects in Conformal Field Theory Programme, chaired by Associate Professor Eveliina Peltola, takes place at the Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM) in Marseille, France from July to December of 2026. More information about the programme can be found .

Research School - Loop Models, Conformal Field Theory, and Geometry

, taking place from the 24th to the 28th of August 2026, aims to introduce young researchers to the field of Loop Models, Conformal Field Theory and Geometry, and to enable established researchers to expand their scope and to interact with others having slightly different backgrounds but working on related problems.

Conference - Geometric and Probabilistic Aspects in Quantum Field Theory

More information on the conference, running from the 31st of August to the 5th of September 2026, can be accessed .

Workshop - Logarithmic CFT, Loop Models, and Random Geometry

In the Logarithmic CFT, Loop Models, and Random Geometry Workshop, taking place 7-11.12.2026, the plan is to bring together experts with complementary expertise on these topics, for collaborating towards the rigorous foundations of CFT and especially their logarithmic aspects, and how they arise as scaling limits of lattice models.
