A session by doctoral researchers, for doctoral researchers at Geography Days 2025. Get to know doctoral researchers from around Finland, present your research, get feedback and hear what others are working on!
The session will happen on Wednesday 22.10. at 12–18 at the city centre campus (P114 Urbarium, Porthania), followed by an evening hang-out.
To attend the session, you will need to submit an abstract by 15.9. The abstract can be for an article, work-in-progress, or any other idea related to your research. We will ask you to submit a longer paper or outline of your idea by Friday 10.10. The papers will be circulated to all participants to read before the session. We will assign each participant one paper to comment on. During the session each will introduce their work, followed by a commentary from a peer and a general discussion. Submissions are welcomed from PhD researchers in different stages of their research, working on topics in geography or closely related to geography. We welcome submissions in English, Finnish or Swedish. During the session, one of the keynote speakers will join us for a discussion, details will follow later.
Participation in this session is free of charge.
