How do we in spite of our differences, collectively create, shape, and sustain our living environments? How can we provide shelter and promote wellbeing for one another? How might we construct habitats using more sustainable and recyclable materials?
ASUMIA is a collaborative exhibition developed by scientists and artists.
It forms part of a broader project portfolio that explores built environments, bio-based construction and interior materials, and their effects on wellbeing.
The research projects that have inspired this exhibition include Nature-Based Serenity Solutions, funded by the University of Helsinki; the D2V project, funded by Business Finland; the ResitBe project, funded by the Research Council of Finland; and the LUONTEVA and BIOSYS projects, co-financed by the European Union and carried out by the University of Helsinki and the Natural Resources Institute Finland.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and it can be visited from 4 September to 5 December 2025 during the opening hours of Think Corner.
