WastPan - Wastewater-based surveillance as pandemic preparedness tool

WastPan (Wastewater-based surveillance as pandemic preparedness tool) -project aims to develop a preparedness tool for environmental surveillance of infectious agents and antimicrobial resistance circulating in the communities.

WastPan is a three year project (2021-2023) and is implemented in consortium between University of Helsinki, Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and Tampere University.

WastPan is funded by Academy of Finland (https://www.aka.fi/en/resilience), Finnish Water Utilities Development Fund, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and Ministry of Environment and National Emergency Supply Agency.
