ViPS/DPPS Autumn Symposium 2018

Current Challenges in Plant Biology: Developmental Biology (DPPS-502)

Monday 10th - Tuesday 11th December 2018, University of Helsinki Viikki campus

Symposium outline

Plant development is a highly dynamic and complex process. As cells divide, grow and differentiate into various cell types, genetic and chemical signaling takes place within and between cells to drive correct patterning of a tissue. Moreover, development occurs in a physical environment in which cells connected to each other cause, and are affected by mechanical forces as they grow. In this course, we will discuss different methods and approaches to tackle the complexity of development.
