TreesForDev Researchers Head to YHYS Colloquium

Ossi Ollinaho will presenting at the 2025 annual colloquium of the Finnish Society for Environmental Social Science (YHYS)!

The theme of the 2025 YHYS colloquium is “Applied, Alongside, Against: Participatory, transdisciplinary, and critical approaches to environmental knowledge and action”. The event will be held in Oulu, Finland, on 24th–26th of November 2025. The main aim here is to bring attention to transformative research, which tackles environmental problems by transcending disciplinary boundaries and challenging injustices.

Ossi will be making a presentation titled, "Invisible power structures made visible through first hand experiences: Doing fieldwork in Mozambique". He reflect on the work done in the Trees for Development project and other experiences in Mozambique. The exact date and time of his presentation will be announced closer to the conference.
