We are inviting students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki to approach us to discuss a research plan centered around the theme "Viral host-cell interactions".  The project can be tailored to students interests and to include a wide range of methods ranging from basic molecular biology to advanced bio-imaging methods including cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM). The candidate is then encouraged to apply for a salaried position in the Doctoral Programme in Microbiology and Biotechnology

The call is open 14–27 September, 2018.

We are inviting students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki to approach us to discuss a research plan centered around the theme "Structural Biology of Proteostasis".  You will join an Academy of Finland funded consortium "Structures and Assemblies of Endogenous Macromolecular Assemblies". You will be trained in cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to determine atomic structures of complexes involved in homeostasis of the cellular proteome, including proteasomes and their substrate complexes. The candidate is encouraged to apply for a salaried position in the Doctoral Programme in Integrative Life Science (ILS).

The call is open 14–27 September, 2018.
