Annamari Kiviaho's dissertation titled "Exploring Future Development Paths for Shrinking Regions" discusses the futures of shrinking regions in Finland.
The work builds on the theory of evolutionary economic geography and expands the understanding of how expectations of local agents such as real estate appraisers, bank representatives, and public sector authorities influence land-use planning and regional development.
