Small animal research focuses on the health and well-being of small animals as well as the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Animals participating in the studies may be selected from patients treated at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital or invited separately for the study. Participation in the surveys is always voluntary and requires permission from the owner. Many studies also require healthy control animals, which are always invited separately for research projects.
