Lea joined our research group for the first time from June 2023 to November 2023 for her research internship. During this time, she assisted the doctoral researchers Alba M. Arbiol Enguita and Elina Harju with sample preparation and different analytical methods and thus gained an insight into their research projects. After completing another internship in Germany, passing her third state examination at the University of Kiel and receiving the license to practice as a pharmacist (dt. Approbation), she moved back to Helsinki in October 2024 to start her own PhD project in the research group of Prof. Clare Strachan. In her project she investigates phase behaviour of solid dosage forms during drug release. Lea was honoured to be awarded a university-funded doctoral researcher position from the Doctoral Programme in Drug Research for four years.
