Introducing Andrej Tibenský - A Master's student from Slovakia who visited our research group in fall 2022

Andrej Tibenský from Slovakia had an internship in our research group from 15th August to 14th December 2022.

"Hi, my name is Andrej Tibenský and I am finishing my Master´s degree studies at the Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové this academic year, so I decided to apply for the Erasmus+ exchange program in order to explore a European country that I have never visited and also find out what the educational system is looking like there. Thanks to the Erasmus+ exchange program it becomes a reality. Choosing the University of Helsinki was an easy choice for me as it belongs to the biggest and best universities in the world. Although the master´s thesis topic at my home university is connected to the analysis of polar compounds with HPLC, I decided to broaden my knowledge and learn something new, so during my stay here, I was helping a doctoral researcher Elina Harju with her research - Characterization of chemosensitive and chemoresistant ovarian cancer cells with Raman spectroscopy. I am more than grateful for this opportunity and I would like to thank all the researchers of this research group for their professional approach and willingness to teach me new stuff."

We thank Andrej for the excellent work he has done as a member of our research group and wish him all the best for both his professional and personal future!
