Value chain management and value networks
Researchers focusing on this theme study the role, functioning and sustainability of urban, rural and global food value chains, with a focus on the role and efficacy of sustainability standards. (e.g. farmer production standards such as GlobalGAPs, social sustainability standards including labor standards)
Accounting for the increasing complexities from chains to networks, we further aim to contribute to our understanding of sustainability in the context of network structures and network dynamics, considering not only individual-level (personal) networks but also organizational (B2B) networks and their embedded norms (social capital).
