Our research is focused on loss of control behaviors and their mechanisms. Related disorders include: eating disorders, gambling, and drug addictions. Our team has expertise in preclinical disease modelling and behavior-to-network-to-cellular-to-molecular level analysis of neuroscience. This is acquired by the use of neuropharmacological methodology, behavioral analysis in disease models, analysis of neurochemically-defined neurocircuitries (optogenetics, chemogenetics), and neuroanatomical imaging both in non-functional and functional modes.
