Collection of DNA samples

We collect samples for DNA sampling of Finnhorses born between 1850 and 1950. Suitable material for the sample is e.g. home archives, stables, treasures, museums and school collections.

  • Teeth or bones
  • Hairs
  • Articles made of horsehair
  • Pulleys
  • Burial sites

We are also interested in specimens and burials of native horse breeds found in the neighboring areas of Finland. Please also contact us if you are interested in working with us on this.
