Welcome to the EnTiTy project kick-off event on September 22, 2023 (Ritarikatu 5, Helsinki).
EnTiTy (Understanding Engagement in interaction through language, emotions, personality, and technology) studies interactional engagement, i.e. a person's ability to be present and engaged in a conversation. In a four-year project, EnTiTy aims to answer how language and culture, personality, emotions, and the use of technology shape engagement and its expressions in social interaction. The project is multidisciplinary and combines interactional linguistics, sociological conversation analysis and social neuroscience in truly innovative ways.
At the kick-off event, we will present the project's research program and listen to presentations from different disciplines related to interactional engagement. See the program below.
