Helsinki One Health is a network organization that coordinates research within the area of One Health at University of Helsinki. Helsinki One Health is encouraging various disciplines and professions to work together to resolve emerging health problems concerning animal and human populations worldwide, and it is a close partner of the Animal Reproduction Science Group.
The effects of heavy metals on reproduction are studied as a part of a PhD-project in collaboration with the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover.
Current research projects in equine reproduction focus on 1) age-related degeneration in the mare's endometrium, oviducts and cervix, 2) repeated early embryonic death and endometrial immunity and pathology.
