When planning a course, please contact Joanna Norkko well in advance to confirm the availability of facilities and resources. Then fill in the Course form with the details of your course and send it to email@example.com.
TZS has two lecture rooms, both for ca 40 persons. The student dormitory has a room with a fireplace, which can be used as a lecture room for ca 30 persons.
Courses can use boats, field and laboratory equipment, aquarium and laboratory facilities, and workrooms on certain terms. Use has to be reserved in advance using the course form and is liable to charge. For laboratory analyses a separate order form has to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. More information can be found under Information for researchers and by contacting the relevant staff. Nature conservation area
Please note that the area around TZS is protected as a nature conservation area. In this area, sampling of material, plants or animals is not allowed without a permit. Fishing is prohibited. Whenever possible, walk along tracks in the area. Visits to islands are allowed only under supervision of course teachers. A special permit is required for moving and sampling of educational or research material in the TZS area and a permit from the landowner is required for moving in areas belonging to neighbours of TZS.
Accommodation and dining for participants and teachers will be reserved and charged based on the information given in the course form. Full board can only be invoiced in the case of course teachers (for invoice terms and address, contact the office).
NB! Remember to inform the participants of the door code if the course will arrive in the evening.
