The seminar Biografins filosofi, filosofins biografi took place 12 March 2020, 10-16 at the Main bulding of the University of Helsinki (Fabianinkatu 33), Room 12. It was organized by WWA in cooperation with the project Den okände von Wright (The Unknown von Wright) funded by The Society for Swedish Literature in Finland. The working language was Swedish.
16-20 April 2018 The Creation of Wittgenstein research group with some invited experts convened for a memorable workshop in Kilpisjärvi in Northern Finland. The place of the meeting was Kilpisjärvi Biological Station. Besides philosophical discussions there was also room for a tour on Lake Kilpisjärvi and hiking along the slopes of the Saana fjeld.

20-23 September 2016 WWA in cooperation with the Austrian Ludwig Wittgenstein Society, the British Wittgenstein Society, the International Ludwig Wittgenstein Institute, the International Ludwig Wittgenstein Society, the Nordic Wittgenstein Society and the Wittgenstein Archives at the University of Bergen organized the symposium Von Wright and Wittgenstein in Cambrige on the occasion of the cententary of Georg Henrik von Wright (1916-2003). The venue was the house Strathaird at the Lucy Cavendish College, in which the von Wright family lived 1949-1950, with Ludwig Wittgenstein as a frequent guest. The main topic of the symposium was the philosohical dynamics and consequences of the relation between von Wright and Wittgenstein with as special emphasis on von Wright as an interpreter and editor of Wittgenstein.
The symposium was supported by the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, the Oskar Öflund Foundation and the International Wittgenstein Society.
In 2016, on the occasion of the centenary of Georg Henrik von Wright, WWA in cooperation with the National Library of Finland, the Unit of Philosophy and the Unit of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Helsinki and the Philosophical Society of Finland organized the trilingual exhibition Thought and Prophecy at the National Library. At the opening 8 March Mauri Antero Numminen performed the very first perfomance of the only known lied composed by Georg Henrik von Wright, "Wenn ich bei meiner Liebsten bin" to the text of Heinrich Heine. In association with the exhibition there was, during the spring, also a series of lectures on the philosophy of Georg Henrik von Wright and a concert evening with von Wright's favourite music at the National Library. The trilingual exhibition book, Georg Henrik von Wright - A Philosopher's Life is edited by Bernt Österman and Risto Vilkko and contains articles by Österman, Vilkko, Thomas Wallgren and Ilkka Niiniluoto.

Since the start of WWA the yearly Wittgenstein symposium in Kirchberg has been an important place for networking and the presentation of research results. In addition to many papers presented by Thomas Wallgren and Bernt Österman during the years, in 2023 there was also a separate event for the presentation of the book The Creation of Wittgenstein (ed. by Thomas Wallgren, Bloomsbury 2023).
