Laura Ervo is a Professor of Procedural Law at the University of Helsinki. She brings extensive academic experience from Finnish universities and previously held a professorship at Örebro University in Sweden for over a decade.
Her cross-border academic career provides her with a deep understanding of the legal systems and procedural frameworks of both Finland and Sweden. In particular, she provides expertise in the Swedish concept of meaningful engagement in courts (bemötandet), which is one of the key aspects to be considered in videorecorded interviews and virtual hearings.
