Carbon sequestration, soil fertility and hydrology in dryland Acacia senegal plantations, Sudan

You are warmly invited to attend the defense of Wafa Abaker’s PhD thesis: “Linkages between carbon sequestration, soil fertility and hydrology in dryland Acacia senegal plantations of varying age in Sudan (abstract only) to be held on Tuesday 29th May, at 12 o’clock noon (Auditorium XII, University Main Building, Unioninkatu 34). The opponent will be Associate Professor Jonas Ardö, Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science, Faculty of Science, Lund University, Sweden. The custos will be Professor Markku Kanninen (VITRI).

In conjunction with Wafa’s defence, you are also warmly invited to attend a lecture to given by the opponent, Associate Professor Jonas Ardö, entitled “Carbon Cycle Studies in Africa - from point to continent”. The lecture will be held on Monday 28th May, 14-15, in lecture theatre B7 (Latokartanonkaari 7), Viikki.
