We were determining XANES (X-ray absorption near edge structure) and EXAFS (extended x-ray absorption fine structure) of our materials related to lanthanide separation and iodine and antimony removal. The data will be used to study the uptake mechanism of Ln/I/Sb and structural properties of our materials. Our group is grateful for fantastic help from beamline scientists Dr. Wolfgang Caliebe and his colleagues, as well as Professor Simo Huotari (University of Helsinki). Now it is time for a short rest before the detailed data analysis.
