Egyptology Study Group: Spring Lecture Series

This spring, the Egyptology Study Group of the University of Helsinki will implement their monthly meetings as a lecture series. We welcome Gabriele Pieke, Lena Tambs, Irmgard Hein, Inmaculada Vivas Sainz, and Françoise Labrique.

The Egyptology Study Group is a forum for graduate students to senior researchers in Finland working on ancient Egypt. It is organized by Melanie Wasmuth within the framework of the Centre of Excellence in Ancient Near Eastern Empires. Since September 2018, we meet monthly to share and discuss ongoing research on ancient Egypt. This spring, we will be joined by five specialists in Egyptian cultural and social history.
