FinEdu Talks, August 24 and September 5

Welcome to seminars organised by Finnish Educational Transitions (FinEdu) Studies, lead by Professor Katariina Salmela-aro. These talks are open to all and present the latest research using person-oriented approaches.

is a collaborative project by Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies and the University of Jyväskylä. The aim of the project is to study the educational transitions and choices, along with factors associated with them, that young people face after compulsory comprehensive education.

1) Thursday August 24, 2017

Presenters:

Barbara Flunger, Utrecht University: Person-oriented approach: multilevel profile analyses.

Hanna Gaspard, University of Tuebingen: New and innovative approaches to Task-value.

Mette Ranta,University of Jyväskylä: Young adults’ career goal effort and stress trajectories in academic and non-academic tracks.

Note: Barbara Flunger will offer a 2-3 hours workshop on the same topic in the afternoon (13:00-16:00, August 24). Place to be announced during the morning lecture.
