Erasmus student Marco Gaio received prize for his MSc thesis (open access article)

The thesis work was performed in joint coordination between the University of Helsinki and the University of Venice

Erasmus student Marco Gaio received a prize of 1000eur for his MSc thesis, conducted at the University of Helsinki in collaboration with the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. The prize was granted  by the University of Venice; eligibility criteria included the acceptance for publication of a scientific article linked to the thesis work. 

Marco's thesis offers a comprehensive review of LCA studies dealing with bio-based products/processes, and uses an ecosystem services framework to interpret and discuss the findings. Prof. Elena Semenzin (Univ. of Venice) and Adj. Prof. Dalia D'Amato (Univ. of Helsinki) supervised the work.
