Societal Security Futures Forum

Sitra, the University of Helsinki, and the Ministry of the Interior are organizing a Societal Security Futures Forum on Societal Security in 2025–2026, aiming to create an up-to-date and comprehensive situational picture of societal security based on three sub-themes:

  1. Crisis resilience and cohesion
  2. Sustainable information environments
  3. Institutions as trust bearers

The Societal Security Futures Forum has brought together a diverse group of individuals from government, media, research, and civil society.

The University of Helsinki has contributed to the Forum by producing research reviews on these themes. The final report of the Forum will be published in spring 2026.
