Suomen Metsä organization, founded in 2022, is a charity dedicated to protecting Finland’s forests.
The Red Listed exhibition features hand-printed linoleum cut artworks works by artist Sebastian Björkman, the creative director of Suomen Metsä. The pieces invite viewers to reflect on the loss of biodiversity and the importance of forest conservation. Each piece portrays a plant or animal species that is at risk of disappearing from our forests forever – or has already vanished.
The artworks are for sale. All proceeds go directly toward forest conservation through the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation.
Red Listed is on display at the museum café from June 10 to August 10, 2025.
Research groups, artists, photographers, writers, nature enthusiasts, and others interested in nature are welcome to propose exhibitions for the Natural History Museum and the botanical gardens in Kaisaniemi and Kumpula.
