Kumpula Manor to be closed – Geological collections moving to the Natural History Museum

Kumpula Botanic Garden will open as usual in May and ticket prices will be reduced due to the closure of the manor.

This year, a significant change is coming to Kumpula Botanic Garden as the historic manor building will close to the public. The closure is due to the transfer of the geological collections to the Natural History Museum where they will become part of the renewed exhibition.

For years Kumpula Manor has housed documenting Earth's mineral and biological history. Now these unique collections will find a new home at the Natural History Museum, where they will be featured in a larger exhibition.

Although Kumpula Manor will close, the botanic garden will open as usual in May. Ticket prices will be reduced and additional guided tours will be available throughout the summer.
