Kumpula Materials Innovation Park

Kumpula Materials Innovation Park (KUMPARK) is formed by the materials research infrastructure of the Departments of Chemistry and Physics on the University of Helsinki Faculty of Science at the  Kumpula Campus. It is a unique collection of facilities for materials synthesis and processing, elemental and structural analytics, and materials recycling. Synthesis and processing facilities include the industrially important atomic layer deposition and etching (ALD/ALE) as well as magnetron sputtering and evaporation (i.e, physical vapor deposition) of thin films, ion implantation processing, additive manufacturing, and comprehensive instrumentation for synthesis and manufacturing of materials in different physical forms providing them with desired properties.
