The 2nd INAR research infrastructures scientific meeting was held during 7-10.4.2025 in Vuokatti, Sotkamo. In this occasion, the meeting was held along with the traditional Pallas symposium, which brings together research related to Pallas and other subarctic/Arctic infrastructures.
The meeting gathered more than 80 participants representing the Universities of Eastern Finland, Helsinki, Jyväskylä and Oulu, as well as the Finnish Environment Insitute (SYKE), Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE) and the EGI federation.
The meeting explored research related to climate change, air quality, biogeochemical cycles, biodiversity and their interactions. It also aimed to promote communication, collaboration and community building between the networks and infrastructures representing varying Finnish research ecosystems, which is an important part of the integrated infrastructure development, both nationally and internationally. The conference also included an excursion to LUMI supercomputer in Kajaani. You can access the full program and submitted abstracts here.
