INAR received infrastructure funding from the Academy of Finland!

INAR RI is an umbrella RI, implementing the distributed national nodes of ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System), ACTRIS (Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure), eLTER (Integrated European Long-Term Ecosystem, Critical Zone & Socio-Ecological Research Infrastructure) and AnaEE (Infrastructure for Analysis and Experimentation on Ecosystems).

INAR RI is benchmarking the integration in 31 sites and stations, 11 labs and mobile units and 2 data infrastructures. INAR RI integrates the comprehensive long-term in-situ measurements with remote sensing, experiments and modelling, to quantify and predict current and future climate change drivers and their impacts on ecosystem functioning, and to provide harmonized and comprehensive data on ecosystems’ responses and feedback to climate, for selecting mitigation and adaptation measures. INAR collaborates with industry, public domain and authorities. The proposal brings added value with collocation and interoperability.
