INAR Climate Festival on 25.5. in the University of Helsinki Think Corner

You are warmly welcome to the opening celebration of INAR* at 12-14 p.m. at the University of Helsinki Think Corner.

The speakers of the event include The University of Helsinki Board chair, President Tarja Halonen, Rector Jukka Kola and INAR leader, Academician Markku Kulmala. There will be program at the Think Corner at the city center campus (Yliopistonkatu 4) from dawn till dusk like live science library, panel discussion, art-science interaction and after work party. You can join in for the afternoon celebration or for the whole day to get to know the secrets of the atmosphere and celebrate science!

*Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research (INAR) is a new unit under two Faculties in the University of Helsinki. Research and education in the Institute is based in physics, chemistry, meteorology, forest sciences, environmental sciences and more and more also in social sciences. The top-level research in INAR strengthens the integrated multidisciplinary research for atmospheric and Earth system science and feeds in scientific results for the national and international environment and climate policy. It performs multiscale research from molecular to global scale and focuses on climate change, air quality, biogeochemical cycles and ecosystem processes. INAR has national partners in Finnish Meteorological Institute, University of Eastern Finland and Tampere University of Technology.
