Ilja Vuorinne will defend his PhD thesis “Remote sensing applications in vegetation assessment and invasive species detection in semi-arid landscapes of Kenya” on Friday, February 6, 1 pm in the Tekla Hultin (F3003), Main building of the University of Helsinki.
Opponent is Associate Professor Michael Marshall, University of Twente, while thesis supervisors have been Janne Heiskanen and Petri Pellikka.
Thesis is one of the outputs of ESSA project funded by the DG INTPA of the European Commission, which ended in August 2025.
