Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE) is one of the leading life science research institutes in the Nordics, fostering outstanding research and innovations across the University of Helsinki campuses and Faculties. To achieve the significant breakthroughs in science, HiLIFE focuses on providing researchers sufficient resources and freedom to pursue their ambitions and expertise towards higher goals.
The HiLIFE Tenure Track program dates back to 2017 when the very first 5 assistant/associate professors were selected, followed by 10 (5 + 5) highly talented life science researchers in 2019 and 2023. In addition to developing every-day life science research and teaching activities, our Tenure Track professors have secured 9 prestigious ERC grants for their important life science research topics.
HiLIFE is thrilled to open the current, 4th Tenure Track assistant/associate professor call in cooperation with life science associated faculties. While our focus is on recruiting the 3 top candidates, there may be further possibilities opening through collaboration with HiLIFE operational units (Institute of Biotechnology, Neuroscience Center, and Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM)).
