Neuroscience Center increases clinical research by welcoming a new Principal Investigator, Dr. Tuukka Raij

Dr. Tuukka Raij's appointment as a Principal Investigator marks a significant step forward in clinical research in Neuroscience Center and collaboration with HUS.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tuukka Raij has joined the Neuroscience Center (NC) as a Principal Investigator. Dr. Raij currently serves as Deputy Chief Psychiatrist in the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital (HUS) district and leads the HUS Neuromodulation Unit.

Dr. Raij investigates neural mechanisms of psychiatric disorders using brain imaging methods such as MRI and MEG. His clinical trials, conducted with patients referred to the TMS treatment program at HUS, support his focus on developing personalized neuromodulation approaches.

Dr. Raij’s appointment will enhance NC’s clinical research profile and foster deeper collaboration with the HUS district.
