HiLIFE is offering funding to support the University of Helsinki BSc. and MSc. students interested in attending a local (Finnish) or international course, summer school or conference during June - December 2024.
The topics covered in the course/summer school/conference should relate to your exact field of study within life sciences . We also expect you to apply to give a poster presentation or a talk during the event, in addition to sharing your experience in HiLIFE Trainee social media channels and blog.
This grant, up to €500, is intended to be used for the registration and travel costs. If the total costs are higher than what is covered by the grant, the remaining costs need to be covered by personal funding and/or by your research group (if employed by UH). Please note that the grant will be issued as a refund after you have attended the selected event.
Also note that any requests for changing the originally selected course/summer school/conference are subject to approval by the HiLIFE EDU work group and must take place at the latest by the end of December 2024.
If you apply for this support and receive another grant for the same event from another provider, please let us know immediately.
Application for this grant should be submitted through E-lomake form latest by 4.00pm EEST on May 13, 2024.
HiLIFE EDU work group will evaluate the applications and announce the grant recipients by May 22, 2024.
HiLIFE has secured funding to support ca. 15 life science students.
