Apply for a group leader position in the Neuroscience Center

We are inviting applications from outstanding candidates for 2 GROUP LEADER positions focusing on either clinical research in neurology, psychiatry or neurophysiology OR on computational neuroscience and neuro-AI. The call for applications is open until 24.5.2026.

Both positions are with 20-100% FTE depending on the candidate’s primary position and for a fixed term (non tenure track) with 5 + 4 years upon successful external mid-term evaluation.

We offer an international, inspiring, and supportive research environment. NC hosts state-of-art infrastructures and neuroscience research facilities including neuronal iPS core, multiphoton microscopes, optogenetics, in vivo imaging and electrophysiology. The members of NC have also an access to cutting-edge human brain imaging (MRI, MEG, EEG, TMS, tACS), supercomputing via center for scientific computing (CSC) as well as Finnish biobank and Finngen data.
