Applications invited for the 2021 FIMM-EMBL, DSHealth & HIIT International PhD Programme

FIMM in collaboration with the Doctoral School in Health Sciences (DSHealth) and HIIT is seeking outstanding candidates for positions of Doctoral Students in Molecular Medicine, Molecular Bioscience, Neuroscience, Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence starting in August 2021. The call for applications is open until February 4, 2021.

As part of the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine and in collaboration with the Doctoral School in Health Sciences (DSHealth) and the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) at the University of Helsinki and Aalto University, we welcome applications for the 2021 FIMM-EMBL & DSHealth International PhD Program. The call for applications for PhD positions in the fields of Molecular Medicine, Molecular Bioscience, Neuroscience, Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence is open until February 4, 2021. Detailed information regarding the institutes participating, position descriptions, research areas, qualifications, and application and selection process can be found at the FIMM Careers website.

We currently have at least four openings for doctoral students who show outstanding potential to become independent researchers and who will significantly benefit from the FIMM-EMBL, DSHealth & HIIT International PhD rotational training. Specifically, these positions are in the fields of molecular medicine, molecular bioscience, drug research, neuroscience, bioinformatics, computational biomedicine, data science and artificial intelligence.

Outstanding PhD students will be recruited to the rotation program where they will work with 2-3 different research groups during a 6-9 month period prior to selecting a research group in which to remain for their complete PhD studies. This program provides an exciting opportunity to explore different research topics and working environments as well as learn a variety of science and technologies, making connections within and beyond the institutes.
