The recruitment of three new assistant/associate professors is proceeding
The most recent HiLIFE tenure track call for assistant/associate professors has closed on September 30, 2024. We were thrilled to receive 432 applications for the position.
The majority of applications were from Finland (152), United States (40), Germany (33) and Sweden (20). In their application, the candidates were asked to indicate to which ERC LS panel they primarily identify to, and according to the replies, panels LS5, LS8 and LS1 were most represented among the applications.
The Appointment Committee is currently reviewing the applications, and the applicants can expect to receive results from the 1st stage evaluation by late November 2024.
Next steps on the recruitment process
Following the initial evaluation, the shortlisted candidates will go through a 2nd stage external evaluation during December - early January 2025. Selected applicants are then invited to interviews held in February 2025.
The entire recruitment process is due to be finalized in April 2025, with the announcement of new HiLIFE tenure track assistant and associate professors.
