This year the University of Helsinki celebrates its 385th anniversary. To honour the occasion, we offer free admission to the Helsinki University Museum Flame exhibition centre on Wednesday, 26 March 2025 from 12.00 to 17.00. Visit us to uncover the University’s history and significance.
The day will feature three short information sessions on objects of significance for the University: its charter, signed by Queen Christina’s regency council on 26 March 1640, and the silver sceptres still used at academic ceremonies. Mini tours of the Passion for Knowledge exhibition will begin at 12.00 (in Finnish), 14.00 (in English) and 16.00 (in Finnish). Duration: 15 minutes.
Address: Fabianinkatu 33, Helsinki.
