Helsinki University Museum Flame provides University of Helsinki students with open, free-of-charge afternoon sessions entitled ‘Basking in the Flame’. We offer a friendly and comfortable meeting place for all students, regardless of their personal circumstances. You can join us on your own or with a companion, or find someone to talk to while taking part.
Registration is required for each session, and you can attend one or more. The meetings will be led by museum staff. The sessions comply with the principles for safer spaces, and photographing participants is prohibited.
We look forward to seeing you!
Join us for a summer picnic to keep Basking in the Flame! Come along for a laidback get-together with picnic treats in the atmospheric Observatory garden. Feel free to drop by, stay as long as you like, and explore the Observatory’s garden tower too. You are welcome to engage in Finnish, Swedish and English under the supervision of museum staff.
We will meet on the steps of Helsinki University Museum Flame’s Observatory (Kopernikuksentie 1). The event will be held outdoors, so dress for the weather. Should it rain, we will move the event indoors.
